Cannabis Global Expands into Solventless Cannabis Extracts at Lynwood Facility

Cannabis Global Expands into Solventless Cannabis Extracts at Lynwood Facility

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / November 23, 2021 / Cannabis Global, Inc. (OTC PINK:CBGL), an innovation-oriented company investing in disruptive cannabis technologies, today announces an important enhancement to its cannabis product manufacturing capabilities at its Natural Plant Extract of California facility in Lynwood, a suburb of Los Angeles. The facility is now producing solventless cannabis concentrates for use in its own cannabis products, including edibles, beverages and prerolls.

Most of the cannabis extract products on the market are prepared using solvents such as butane, propane, and carbon dioxide to extract the oils and cannabinoids from the plant. These products ultimately have most of the solvents removed, but the taste profile of the original plant material is altered in the overall process. The solvent-less extraction methods used by the Company instead rely 100% on water, ice, heat and pressure to extract the desirable components from the cannabis plant.

“Consumers are increasingly turning to solvent-less products for three reasons: purity, taste and experience,” commented Arman Tabatabaei, CEO of the Company. “We do not have to remove the chemical solvents from these products as none are ever added. It’s just water, heat and pressure. Many consumers prefer the natural taste of solvent-less produced extracts and believe such products offer a superior user experience. We expect continued growth in the marketplace as consumers increasingly gravitate toward these high quality products.”

Solvent-less operations at the Company’s Natural Plant Extract of California facility include both ice water hash production, which uses water and ice to separate the valuable trichomes from the plant materials, and rosin production, which uses heat and pressure to produce an ultra-premium concentrate. The Company plans to utilize these solventless concentrates to enhance cannabis products, such as premium pre-rolls, edibles and beverages, which are in various stages of availability and pre-production.

Pure Extracts Provides Q4 Corporate Update

Pure Extracts Provides Q4 Corporate Update

Vancouver, B.C. (November 10, 2021) – Pure Extracts Technologies Corp. (CSE: PULL) (OTC: PRXTF) (XFRA: A2QJAJ) (“Pure Extracts” or the “Company”), a plant-based extraction company focused on cannabis, hemp and the rapidly emerging psychedelic sector, is pleased to provide a brief summary of recent activities.

The fall season has arrived, and with it an ongoing lessening of Covid-19 health measures. This is providing a return to a degree of normalcy here in Canada. Continued optimism is driving business momentum resulting in an increase in activity throughout every aspect of our enterprise operations. Since our last update, the growing wave of nationwide optimism positions the Company to report on several positive activities we can offer our growing base of partners, stakeholders and shareholders alike.

Market Awareness and Product Distribution

Our first and strategically most important update is that Pure Extracts’ products are now listed for sale at licensed outlets throughout British Columbia (BC), Alberta (AB), Saskatchewan (SK), and Ontario (ON).

The product mix encompasses 24 SKUs currently available in each respective provincial recreational cannabis market, and further offers 9 SKUs specifically targeting the medical cannabis supply chain. To-date, Pure Extracts has manufactured approximately 50,000 vape carts and approximately 100,000 gummie packs to support retail sales.

The product lineup has been increased to include a one-gram vape cart which has met with positive consumer uptake. The THC version is in the initial launch phase in BC and AB with the CBD version in ON. Repeat orders of the one-gram product SKU had already been received at the start of the current fiscal quarter.

Pure Extracts’ CBD gummies, offered in their sector-leading unique blister packaging, continue to report uniformly growing market share across all four of the provinces. Medical sales continue to expand through the Abba Medix sales platform, notably in the CBD gummie product lineup. Leading sales figures focus clearly on our ultra-high potency CBD 50, 75 and 100 mg packs.

Our in-house services have also experienced substantial growth in recent months. The two most active services include our white label and tolling business development for industrial-scale customers. We are extremely pleased to have signed three new white label programs for the production of vape cartridges and two of these customers are concurrently tolling their biomass through our services.

New Product Development

Pure Extracts’ development team has identified a new infused-product trend in the cannabis industry and will be executing an unveiling and product launch aimed at new product SKU’s targeting the Canadian marketplace withing the next quarter. Until then, we are keeping details to a minimum as we hope to earn marketing leverage of a very underserved product mix that we believe will position well with our brand identity and distribution ability.

Sales & Marketing

Enhanced social media & sales support strategy:

  • Our dedicated Pure Extracts social strategy (Pure Pulls and Pure Chews) now includes daily posting of a curated feed promoting organic engagement across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Creation of a dedicated Pure Mushrooms social strategy (for Maitake, Reishi, Lion’s Mane) including daily curation of information promoting organic engagement across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Ongoing effort and close collaboration with Cannavolve, our national cannabis sales agency and their team on the ground across Canada to promote and secure additional points of purchase for Pure Pulls and Pure Chews
  • A full complement of sales material has been developed to support sales activities in the field.
  • Product knowledge training is actively underway for field sales reps and budtenders (both on-site and virtually).

Michigan Facility Update

In Michigan, the facility build-out continues to progress as the engineers finalize their renovation plans for the existing building. Pure Extracts business development and sales team has toured the Michigan market with our JV partner resulting in meetings with some of their 100+ existing dispensary clients as part of the process to develop specific products tailored to regional consumers. The operations team has identified a head extractor to manage the Michigan facility once in operation. The nominee brings deep cannabis extraction experience especially regarding live rosin and live resin production expertise.

Mushroom Sector Business Development

Our functional mushroom business continues to advance with the development of two new product SKUs including a Lion’s Mane formulation set for launch in December and a Blended product formula scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2022. Implementation with Amazon Canada experienced some initial issues which have been overcome and we are now on-track to offer cross-border sales with the commencement of a marketing campaign focused on gaining segment visibility and sales penetration of our Pure Mushrooms brand.

Concurrently, our psilocybin enterprise continues to move forward with a joint venture (JV) between Pure Extracts and Psyence Group as Pure Psyence Corp. The JV is structured to formulate a psilocybin extract derived from Psyence Group’s high-potency psychedelic mushroom biomass for 2 clinical trials to be undertaken under the auspices of two prestigious Canadian universities.

Responses from Health Canada regarding our Dealers Licence application are pending, with a successful outcome aimed at allowing us to directly handle controlled substances at our extraction facility in British Columbia.

Near Term Summary

Our near-term goals include product launches in a soon-to-be-named Eastern Canadian province, and the listing of our products through a relationship with a national pharmacy chain. We continue to focus on distribution to medical patients through specific channel partners, with additional medical SKUs planned for 2022.

In Conclusion

As anyone following the Pure Extracts story since our inception in the Fall of 2020 can readily attest to, an incredible effort has propelled the Company forward across multiple fronts. We are very grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and committed team who really pulled together as our entire society has had to struggle against unprecedented conditions. It’s a real joy for us all to know we have earned the trust and loyalty of so many consumers, partners and shareholders who share our vision for success. As we head towards a new year, we remain focused on growth, innovation, and value generation. We invite everyone to stay engaged with us, either through social media or by signing up on our website for regular news alerts, because we will have much more to talk about in the months ahead.

STATEMENT REGARDING UNITED STATES REGULATORY FRAMEWORK FOR CANNABIS

Pursuant to Pure Extracts’ joint venture with Golden Harvests, LLC, Pure Extracts expects to derive revenues from the cannabis industry in the State of Michigan in the United States, which industry is illegal under United States federal law. The joint venture is expected to be directly or indirectly engaged in the manufacture, possession, use, sale and distribution of cannabis in the medical and/or adult-use cannabis marketplace in the State of Michigan.

The United States federal government regulates drugs through the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. § 811) (the “CSA”), which places controlled substances, including cannabis, in a schedule. Cannabis is classified as a Schedule I drug. Under United States federal law, a Schedule I drug or substance has a high potential for abuse, no accepted medical use in the United States, and a lack of accepted safety for the use of the drug under medical supervision. The United States Food and Drug Administration has not approved cannabis as a safe and effective drug for any indication.

In the United States, cannabis is largely regulated at the state level. State laws regulating cannabis are in direct conflict with the federal Controlled Substances Act, which makes cannabis use and possession federally illegal. Although certain states authorize medical and/or adult-use cannabis production and distribution by licensed or registered entities, under United States federal law, the possession, use, cultivation, and transfer of cannabis and any cannabis-related drug paraphernalia is illegal and any such acts are criminal acts under federal law. The Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution establishes that the United States Constitution and federal laws made pursuant to it are paramount and in case of conflict between federal and state law, the federal law shall apply.

There is no guarantee that state laws legalizing and regulating the sale and use of cannabis will not be repealed or overturned, or that local governmental authorities will not limit the applicability of state laws within their respective jurisdictions. Unless and until the United States Congress amends the CSA with respect to medical and/or adult-use cannabis (and as to the timing or scope of any such potential amendments there can be no assurance), there is a risk that U.S. federal authorities may enforce current U.S. federal law. If the U.S. federal government begins to enforce U.S. federal laws relating to cannabis in states where the sale and use of cannabis is currently legal, or if existing applicable state laws are repealed or curtailed, Pure Extracts’ business, results of operations, financial condition and prospects would be materially adversely affected. For these reasons, Pure Extracts’ operations in the United States cannabis market (through the joint venture) may subject Pure Extracts to heightened scrutiny by regulators, stock exchanges, clearing agencies and other Canadian and U.S. authorities and is subject to a number of risks, including those risks that are described in the Companies’ public filings profile on SEDAR at www.sedar.com .

To Pure Extracts’ knowledge, no statement has been made by federal authorities or prosecutors regarding the risk of enforcement action with respect to state-sanctioned marijuana activities in the state of Michigan.

No stock exchange, securities commission or other regulatory authority has approved or disapproved the information contained herein.

Cannabis Global’s Research into Psychedelic Mushroom Focuses on Foods and Beverage Infusions

Cannabis Global’s Research into Psychedelic Mushroom Focuses on Foods and Beverage Infusions

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / November 4, 2021 / Cannabis Global, Inc. (OTC PINK:CBGL), an innovation-oriented company investing in disruptive cannabis technologies, today released information on its research and development programs for psychedelic mushrooms and entheogenic plants, and the process of infusing the active ingredients into foods and beverages.

“Our emphasis is on both direct infusion of the fungus and plant materials, and on extracting the active ingredients,” commented Cannabis Global Inc CEO, Arman Tabatabaei. “We have seen strong success in both methods and have used both to infuse a variety of ingredients”, he continued.

Much of the Company’s development efforts have centered on masking the strong tastes of mushroom extracts and entheogenic plants. Cannabis Global is utilizing dual extraction technologies utilizing water and food grade ethanol, rather than stronger solvents that are both not food grade and require extensive purging in order to meet the expected California testing standards. The dual extractions are then emulsified using the all-natural processes developed by the Company for cannabis edibles.

Mr. Tabatabaei continued, “We are hopeful about the possible passage of Senator Scott Wiener’s (D-San Francisco) Senate Bill 519 in California, which would allow us to move forward with our research and development, and possible commercialization of psychedelics-infused food and beverage products. Once legalized, we foresee possible licensing opportunities for our existing infusion technologies, and the marketing of pre-made psychedelic containing emulsions, and emulsions containing both psychedelics and cannabinoid, with food and beverage brands. We are also especially excited about moving beyond ordinary THC with these combinations through the inclusion of rare cannabinoids, such as Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THC-V) and Cannabinol (CBN).”

Psilocybin, is it the next cannabis wave?

In this episode we have Lenny Kerman, a strategic financial consultant who works with various psilocybin and cannabis companies. He talks about how he’s invested in the space and has some valuable information for those looking to invest as well.

Struggling with a negative self image?

A recent study suggests that repeated psychedelic drug use may be effective in reducing PTSD symptoms and internalized shame in people who endured maltreatment during childhood.

The researchers surveyed adults with severe physical, emotional, or sexual trauma and found that those who took psychedelics for therapeutic purposes (in non-clinical settings) were less likely to have a negative self-concept or disturbances in relationships.

Participants who used psychedelics with therapeutic intent 5 times showed the lowest levels of internalized shame and complex trauma.

Enhancing psilocybin…with a pneumonia drug?

A drug that loosens mucus in the lungs could also help treat concussions!?

Lobe Sciences (LOBE) discovered that psilocybin might work better when paired with N-Acetylcysteine (NAC), a drug used to treat Tylenol overdose and respiratory conditions like pneumonia, bronchitis, and asthma.

In rodent models of mild traumatic brain injury (TBI) and PTSD, the combination of psilocybin and NAC performed significantly better than psilocybin, NAC, or a placebo alone.

The company is working on finding a supplier of high purity cGMP psilocybin to continue research and expand on these findings.

Reducing fish seizures

This Vancouver company is making advancements across its drug pipeline.

Dravet Syndrome, a disorder that causes epilepsy from a young age, is the target of a new study by Bright Minds (DRUG). In preclinical studies on zebrafish, DRUG was effective in reducing seizure duration and frequency and is now on track to be tested in human trials early next year.

In rat models, DRUG showed efficacy in treating opioid use disorder and binge eating disorder with rats demonstrating a 50% reduction in binge eating episodes.

The company also has a mixed compound that is in preclinical development for cluster headaches, chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, and other pain disorders.

Tripping in Times Square

This week, the first-ever psychedelic billboard campaign debuted in Times Square to spark a conversation about the healing power of plant medicines and disrupt profit-driven ads.

The #CelebratePlantMedicine campaign encourages viewers to share their personal experiences with plant medicines to destigmatize the use of psychedelics. It also aims to amplify the importance of set and setting, integration, and respecting Indigenous wisdom.

The campaign is run by DoubleBling Magazine, Musings Magazine, Rainbo Mushrooms, and Honeysuckle Magazine, which ran Time Square’s first cannabis billboard.

3 women + microdosing = )

Chelsea says that microdosing allows her to “stay fully present” and is the only tool that helps her focus her busy mind, but the biggest shift was in her anxiety. “For over fifteen years, I had severe anxiety, but through microdosing, I could sit with and deliberate my fears. I now rarely suffer with it, and if I do, it’s fleeting,” she shares.

One woman, Amber, was so depressed that everything felt dull and uninteresting, until she started microdosing. “When I microdosed for the first time I found myself noticing the beauty of the things around me again,” she says. She explains that microdosing is “akin to a child-like wonder” and makes her feel “more positive, open-minded and creative but still completely functional and sober”.

Bea finds that microdosing three times per week acts as a natural mood booster and study aid, brings her mental clarity, and helps her organize her life. She says she’s now able to be her true, stable self and is no longer the “people-pleasing, anxious version” of herself.

Is Elon going to take shrooms to the moon?

Elon Musk has been known to have a major influence on the stock market, with his Tweets causing Bitcoin and Dogecoin to skyrocket almost instantaneously. His latest interview could take shroom stocks to the moon 😉

In an interview with Ronan Levy, co-founder of Field Trip Health (FTRP), Musk was asked what role he thinks psychedelics have in “addressing some of the more destructive tendencies of humanity.”

Elon replied, “I think, generally, people should be open to psychedelics. A lot of people making laws are kind of from a different era, so I think, as the new generation gets into political power, I think we will see greater receptivity to the benefits of psychedelics.”

Build a better brain without getting high

“We are not a one- or two-asset company. We’ve got a large pipeline coming out,” warns David E. Olson, founder of Delix Therapeutics.

The Boston-based startup just raised $70 million in series A financing to develop psychedelic-inspired compounds that are safe enough to take at home.

The company has already synthesized about 1,000 compounds across 8+ classes of psychedelics, with the goal of creating compounds that form synapses between brain cells without inducing hallucinations.

The researchers have found a couple of promising contenders, which are on track to be studied in Phase 1 clinical trials by the end of this year.

Are stoners getting bored with cannabis?

These two companies are joining forces to become a leader in commercialized psilocybin extracts.

Pure Extracts (PULL), a cannabis, hemp, and mushroom extraction company, signed a Joint Venture agreement with Psyence Group (PSYG) to form “Pure Psyence”.

The agreement leverages Psyence Group’s licensed cultivation facility and standardized psilocybin mushroom supply to create high-purity, naturally-derived mushroom extracts. Yesterday, Psyence Group completed its first official validated harvest, bringing it one step closer to receiving a British Standards Institute (BSI) certification.

The combined expertise will make standardized psilocybin more accessible to Canadian research institutions and will allow Pure Psyence to conduct human clinical trials using the extracts.

Healing the Armed Forces

The US government is funding psychedelic research to get military members the relief they deserve!

A new measure, filed by Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas, would allow the Secretary of Defense to award research grants to study psychedelic therapy as a PTSD treatment for active military members.

The measure would allow any State or Federal agency, academic institution, or nonprofit to study the therapeutic effects of psilocybin, ibogaine, MDMA, or 5-MeO-DMT. If passed, funds could be used for Phase 2 clinical studies involving members of the Armed Forces or to train practitioners to offer the treatment.

Another city decriminalizes psychedelics

Well, kind of…

In a 5-2 vote, Grand Rapids, Michigan approved a psychedelics decriminalization resolution, yet activists feel the measure falls short.

The resolution calls for law enforcement deprioritization for use and possession of psilocybin, peyote, ayahuasca, and ibogaine, but it doesn’t address the cultivation, purchase, transportation or distribution of the entheogens, unlike the measure passed in Ann Arbor.

On the bright side, the measure notes that the Mayor and City Commission will support efforts to decriminalize the entheogenic plants and fungi on a local, state, and federal level.

Psychedelic research coming to Florida

“The science regarding psilocybin is real, cannot be ignored, and soon will be a universally-accepted form of treatment in the U.S.,” said Rep. Michael Grieco (D) of Florida.

That’s why he and Senate Minority Leader Lauren Book (D) filed bills that would require the state to study the medical potential of psilocybin and MDMA.

The bills were modeled on the measure enacted in Texas earlier this year to study psychedelic therapy for veterans with PTSD, but with an even broader scope. If enacted, the Department of Health would be directed to research other conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, chronic pain and migraines.

Becoming an extremely pleasing ball of flesh

This Reddit user had a memorable first trip on magic truffles.

“We cycled to an extremely secluded hill with trees covering it from all sides and where no one ever goes. It’s our secret chill spot mostly used for smoking weed. We sat down in pure awe of the spot and nature. Generating sentences and word combinations was EXTREMELY HARD, because every time we wanted to get a thought out, when we started explaining it, our brains had already moved on to the next thought. It was a rapid fire of thoughts and ideas and we laid down looking at the sky and the trees in silence just thinking about the universe and different topics.

Everything had patterns and colors were extremely bright and vibrant. Everything was breathing and flowing and when I looked at my phone, I couldn’t decipher words as all the letters on my keyboard and screen kept moving and switching places. I didn’t see words, but rather letter combinations. Looking at the camera, my face was constantly moving, shrinking and getting bigger. My eyes looked big and cartoony. It looked like I was living in a cartoon as everything looked like a drawing and too symmetrical to be real. At one point I pressed my head against my knee and felt like my body was merging into a ball of flesh, but it felt extremely pleasing. Everything was positive, loving and peaceful. I was at peace with myself and the universe. Orange juice tasted amazing. Me and my friend didn’t have much interaction as we were both fully engulfed in the trip. He told me afterwards that he had many similar effects to me.

At the end of the peak, I noticed my friend shedding tears and put my hand on his shoulder and asked him if everything was ok. He said he wasn’t sad, but they were rather tears of joy and acceptance. Seems like he was having an even more intense experience than me, but he said his trip was extremely good just like mine and no signs of a bad trip or negative thoughts.”

To Pure Extract’s knowledge, no statement has been made by federal authorities or prosecutors regarding the risk of enforcement action with respect to state-sanctioned marijuana activities in the state of Michigan.

No stock exchange, securities commission or other regulatory authority has approved or disapproved the information contained herein

PURE EXTRACTS AND GROWN ROGUE FORM JOINT VENTURE TO EXPAND PRODUCT OFFERING IN MICHIGAN

Vancouver, British Columbia and Medford, Oregon, August 19, 2021 – Pure Extracts Technologies Corp. (“Pure Extracts”) (CSE: PULL) (OTC: PRXTF) (XFRA: A2QJAJ) today announced the signing of a Definitive Agreement for a joint venture between its Michigan subsidiary, Pure Extracts USA Inc., and Grown Rogue International Inc.’s (“Grown Rogue”) (CSE: GRIN) (OTC: GRUSF) Michigan subsidiary, Golden Harvests, LLC (“Golden”) to expand Grown Rogue’s product offering and bring Pure Extracts’ portfolio of products to Michigan. Grown Rogue is a multi-state operating (MSO) cannabis company with operations and assets in Oregon and Michigan.

In addition to Pure Extracts’ Pure Pulls and Pure Chews, Grown Rogue will be adding to their Michigan product portfolio to include concentrates and cartridges to complement their award-winning flower and their proprietary, 3.5gram, nitrogen sealed flower jars already one of the leading flower brands in the state.

“We are excited to expand our product offering in Michigan to include new products that doubles our addressable market in a top 5 cannabis state,” said Obie Strickler, CEO of Grown Rogue. “We have consumers that actively seek out the processors who purchase our trim for their own products so this joint venture will help fulfill the increasing demand for Grown Rogue’s high quality products in the state of Michigan, increase the strong brand equity our team is building, and capture additional margin for the company.”

Pure Extracts is a plant-based extraction company focused on cannabis and hemp based out of British Columbia, Canada. Pure Extracts will provide a mix of equipment, cash, and extraction expertise to the venture, which will allow the partners to rapidly scale-up to meet the rising demand for processed products throughout the state.

The joint venture plans to build-out 2,600 square feet of existing space in the 80,000 sq ft facility in Bay City. The JV has the ability to produce Grown Rogue branded concentrates, cartridges, edibles and tinctures as well as similar items under Pure Extracts’ brand. The JV will consider building dedicated greenhouse production to provide cheaper processing input for house brands and available white label opportunities.

“We are excited to be teaming up with Grown Rogue, renowned cultivators who have already sold their cannabis products to over 100 dispensaries throughout Michigan, a state where cannabis sales reached a record $171 million in July of this year, up 56% from a year ago,” said Ben Nikolaevsky, CEO of Pure Extracts. “Establishing Pure Extracts’ brands in the United States, the world’s largest and most important cannabis market, is an important milestone for our company.”
