The FDA just gave a big thumbs-down to Lykos Therapeutics’ application to use MDMA as a treatment for PTSD. According to Sam Clark, the CEO of Terran Biosciences, this rejection could mean it’ll be another five years before MDMA-based treatments can boogie their way into U.S. patients’ lives. So, if you were hoping for a legal, therapeutic rave to tackle your trauma, it looks like the party’s on hold for now.
